Farm to School Days at ALBA

ALBA hosts several Farm to School events with local schools to help children understand were their food originates as well as the importance of sustainable farming that supports the production of local healthy foods in their area.

Part of our field day is to introduce kids to cultural farming practices like integrated pest management, which often includes insect collections and identification of common pests and benefical insects.

Happy bug collectors.

Kids finish the day with a lunch of locally grown fruits and veggies taken right from our farm.

A Cloudy Day in Seattle

Tumay wanted to see Seattle for the first time so we decided to spend the day along the waterfront and at the Seattle Art Museum.
