Introducing Haida

Day 1 from the SPCA of Monterey. 8 months and 25lbs. A gorgeous Lab/Chow mix and as gentle as they come.


Haida has just been spade and is recovering pretty well.


Soon she'll be running, hiking, biking, and paragliding...that is, if I can find a doggy harness for her :)

Biking Forest of Nisene Marks

So, I finally brushed off my mountain bike after a long hiatus, bought some badly needed cleats and took off for the Santa Cruz Mountains for a ride at the beautiful Forest of Nisene Marks. Great day of following my bliss.

Directions:
Use the State Park Drive exit from Hwy 1. Go east on State Park Drive to Soquel Drive. Turn right on Soquel Drive. Go 1 mile to Aptos Creek Road. Turn left on Aptos Creek Road (Aptos Center) into the park.
